First trip back on St Ives this year for Daniel Staff-Howes and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Dan told us: “With it being the Easter weekend we expected it to be busy and sure enough upon arrival Thursday night our expectations were realised. I let Donna fish the first night whilst I waited for the swim next door to become available the following afternoon and I’m so glad I waited. The first night produced a relic of a mirror known as the Pet being over 40 years old and one of the last originals left swimming around in the lake. It had absolutely made my session on the first night to catch something with so much history around it. However my high was made even higher on the following morning with this brute of a common known as Tango and a new PB at 44lb 1oz made an appearance falling again to a Mainline Cell Super Buoyant Pop-Up.” Congratulations, Daniel.
