"Important Changes Announcement
It is without doubt that 2024 was a tough one for Proper Carp Baits as well as many other companies within the industry.
In the last 12 months over 40 of our stockists have either ceased trading or closed down through administration and that has had a massive impact on the business.
So, with this in mind and after much consideration and a lot of thought, I have decided to shift the company in a new direction.
As from 1st March 2025, other than the particle range and a selection of Hi Attract pop ups which will continue to be available through retailers, the balance of the Proper Carp Baits ranges will only be available directly through the propercarpbaits.co.uk website.
By switching over to this, Proper Carp Baits can continue to supply you with the top quality products we have produced for the last eight years and still have it widely available.
This wasn’t something I’d ever imagined to have to do but with the fishing retail industry getting harder and us having difficulty in shops paying on time cash flow was getting tighter and tighter.
By going back to selling directly via the website we can service you, the end user faster and more efficiently.
This will also enable us to reduce the retail price of our boilies, making us even more competitive.
As well as supplying 1kg and 5kg bags of boilie there will now also be a 2.5kg bag available.
We are also changing the size of our pellet bags from 900gm bags to 2.5kg ones.
All pop ups, hookbaits and wafters will remain, 500ml liquids will remain and we will be introducing a few new products.
Our hookbait dips and 1ltr bulk liquids will also be reduced in price.
There will now be a standard delivery charge of £8.00 on all orders but I’m sure that with the new lower prices you’ll still benefit from this.
The new lower prices are on the website now for you to use but please bear with us while we get back up on stock levels. Some of the products have been hidden until the stocks are replenished but this is being done daily.
I hope you understand the situation and I hope it doesn’t inconvenience you not having it in your local retailer but Proper Carp Baits will strive to continue supplying you all with the quality products you can expect from us.
I’d like to thank all retailers that stock our products for all their support over the years & I’d like to think that most will continue to stock the particle ranges. We will also be looking to expand the particle range as well as the stockists of these. We do feel that there is space in the market for another quality particle range and we believe we have this.
