With everything packed away I spent the final night of my trip to @carparena rosemere under the stars, now throughout the course of the week I had seen a big carp spending a lot of time near a fallen tree which was over to my right, the only issue I had was that the bank around it fell away very quickly which meant I couldn’t present a bait anywhere near the fish because the free offerings would simply just not hold on the slope and the rig just wouldn’t sit right, so I decided to take a landing net pole out in the boat and almost flatten off a small area where I could present my hookbait and a handful of freebies as close to were I had seen the fish in an area that was safe to do so without having any problems should I hook it.

With the trap set 24 hours before I was due to depart I knew that if that rod went the likely hood would be that it would be that fish, and sure enough right on cue at 8am the following morning literally minutes before I had to leave the bobbin hit the deck and she was mine…..all 45lbs 6oz of her
